A GATHERING SPOT BY THE FIRE
A useless, unattractive sloped portion of this backyard needed innovation and expertise to not only provide a safer place between established outdoor living spaces but to turn it into a primary spot for gatherings. This meant ridding the landscape of a dated stairway and unsightly walls, and making room for a wood-burning fire feature.
Unilock Estate Wall was selected to create a terrace within the narrow boundaries and to support the strong decline. A mortared natural stone fire pit acts as the focal point of the terrace, surrounded by a vast selection of boxwood, perennials, and grasses. The sound of bubbling water from a nearby fountain provides a tranquil setting. Add a few more logs to the fire, and this is the place to be.
A sloping property and outdated retaining wall were uninspiring.
To begin, we excavated and leveled the patio area.
